HOW TO MANAGE

Stay hydrated

Take your medications as prescribed

Eat smaller well-balanced meals

Exercise moderately (if no ketones are present in urine and blood)
Get Help Immediately if
- Blood sugar is less than 240 mg/dL consistently
- Call emergency medical services right away
- Vomiting or inability to keep food / liquids down
- Mental confusion or unconsciousness
